High Quality Made out of the high-tech material magnesium Advantages of magnesium: the material is not only lightweight, but also ensures the perfect fit of the blades Blades are made of finely ground hard carbon steel – with a hardness of more than 62 hrc, the steel used is much harder than high-quality kitchen knives (approx. 55 hrc) Dynamic Torsion Action® prevents the tip of the pen from breaking, as the blades are under permanent tension.
The KUM Meisterwerk offers what artists and real pencil enthusiasts realy need.
 
Sharpening takes place in two phases:
Phase 1 – only the wood of the pencil is removed. The removal of the shavings is set to a TC system, the so-called Thin Cut.
Phase 2 – the lead is sharpened and formed. The goal is to obtain a long and precise pencil tip.
 
The result is a conical shaping based on 8 degrees.
Prerequisite for this perfection:
– centred lead
– first-class wood
The KUM® Meisterwerk is delivered in a plastic case, with an individual neoprene pouch.
