Cretacolor recommends sharpening the pastel pencils with sandpaper. Also, short cone sharpeners for chalk pencils like the Cretacolor Sharpener or Artist’s Sharpener or hand-cranked pencil sharpeners (with short point adjustment) are suitable. Where sharpeners with a regular blade are used, they should be replaced regularly.
